Yael Gutin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland and went on to study culinary arts following graduation. Yael spent several years pursuing her passion for cooking and offering nutrition coaching and private culinary lessons to clients seeking to improve their knowledge in the kitchen. During this time, Yael developed a deeper interest in clinical nutrition, nutrition education, and supporting others in fostering positive relationships with food. Yael went on to earn her Master of Science in Nutrition degree from the National University of Natural Medicine, and shortly after completed her dietetic internship at Bastyr University. Throughout her internship, Yael deepened her enthusiasm for empowering others to cultivate authentic, joyful, and autonomous relationships with food and their bodies.
Since becoming a dietitian, Yael has worked at the residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care to support individuals on their eating disorder recovery journeys. Yael incorporates mindfulness, weight-inclusivity, and an all-foods-fit approach in her practice, while also working from an LGBTQIA+ affirming and trauma-informed perspective.
In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, Yael is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, Certified Professional Chef, and is First Aid-CPR certified.
Outside of work, Yael enjoys exploring nature, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
