Program Director – Denver, Colorado

Summary of Major Functions:

Primarily responsible for the direction of care, scheduling and programming for the PHP program as part of the interdisciplinary team and in tandem with the Clinical Director and Medical Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure quality treatment programming as evidenced by thorough, written curriculum.
  2. Schedule clinical training opportunities and maintain internal clinical training handbooks.
  3. Develop and implement quality measures to include chart reviews and implementations for improvement.
  4. Ensure quality charting that meets TJC standards (Assessments, Treatment plans, Progress notes, Discharge summaries, etc).
  5. Ensures standards and accreditation requirements (TJC, HIPPA).
  6. Develop ongoing Quality Improvement measures and initiatives.
  7. Establish and edit policies and procedures for ongoing consistency in delivery of clinical services.
  8. Support clinical staff in professional growth and delivering education to the community.
  9. Coordinates efforts of clinical team to provide consistent, effective day to day treatment.

Primary Therapist – Denver, Colorado

Supervisor:

Program Director

Summary of Major Functions:

Primarily responsible for the direction of care of PHP patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. Provides individual therapy, case management, group therapy, and treatment planning. Ensures implementation of the treatment plan in all aspects of programming and plans for a smooth transition and discharge from treatment.  Responsible to document all treatment processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment and discharge recommendations (Patient’s BioPsychoSocial completed and filed in patient’s chart within 72 hours).
  2. Create an individualized treatment plan with appropriate PHP goals and objectives (completed within 72 hours) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  4. Ensure that patients are seen for individual therapy as clinically indicated (twice weekly for PHP).
  5. Demonstrate ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  6. Provide case management for each assigned case: demonstrate ability to facilitate and/or ensure the whole of patient care, integrate all aspects of care and ease the process of treatment for the patient.
  7. Facilitate meals with expertise: demonstrate ability to challenge behaviors and support recovery.
  8. Facilitate meals with patients in a fashion consistent with current policies and procedures; eat and model appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients.
  9. Facilitate groups with expertise: demonstrate ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  10. Maintain and develop group curriculum.
  11. Is creative in therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, clinically sound milieu.

  • Represents the organization and its programs to inform and educate therapists, physicians and the community about the services and programs to encourage referrals.
  • Assesses the needs of potential referral sources and identifies new or existing services that can be offered to meet those needs.

Accountant  – Denver, Colorado

Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer

Summary of Major Functions:

Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, all general accounting, preparations of journal entries, maintaining Sage General Ledger, prepare accounts payable invoices, generate checks, record revenue, cash activity and reconcile all major GL accounts.  Prepare operational statistics, budgets, proformas and other analyses as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Record Revenue from the billing module integrated in EDC’s EMR software.
  2. Create AR Aging and resolve reconciliation issues.
  3. Prepare accounts payable invoices, generate checks, and maintain AP files.
  4. Manage Vendor relationships and prepare annual 1099’s
  5. Record all daily cash activity created from the billing department.
  6. Prepare monthly managerial financial statements.
  7. Prepare weekly and monthly operational statistics.
  8. Download Payroll cost data from ADP and record biweekly payroll in the GL.
  9. Download monthly Benefits cost data from ADP and record in GL.
  10. Calculate & record monthly Accrued Payroll.
  11. Download all Credit Card Activity and code with assistance from the Executive Administrator
  12. Maintain Fixed Asset Ledgers and Depreciation calculations

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of appropriate psychotropic medications.  Provides patient education regarding side-effects and efficacy. Regularly monitors prescribed medications for assigned patients.  Provides treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders based on biopsychosocial theories, evidence-based standards of care, and EDCare guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Psychiatric Coverage

  1. Provides knowledgeable and thorough psychiatric coverage.
  2. Interfaces effectively with clinical personnel.
  3. Is available to staff and treatment teams for questions, communications and emergencies.
  4. Provides psychiatric assessments for new admissions.
  5. Takes call on a regularly scheduled basis

Psycho-Pharmacology

  1. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of appropriate psychotropic medications.
  2. Provides patient education regarding side-effects and efficacy.

Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, EDCare does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of EDCare. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
