Regional Outreach Representative – Denver, Colorado

Summary:

The Regional Outreach Representative will support the efforts of the marketing department in promoting company programs and in developing a network of referring providers within defined geographic areas. The Regional Outreach Representative is responsible for planning and coordinating various community events; identifying and implementing marketing tactics and strategies to achieve organizational objectives; developing and maintaining excellent relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represents the organization and its programs to inform and educate therapists, physicians and the community about the services and programs to encourage referrals.
  • Assesses the needs of potential referral sources and identifies new or existing services that can be offered to meet those needs.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop educational opportunities for clients and prospects.
  • Provides training and support to referring entities to include in-services, conference presentations, and individual consultations.
  • Develops and maintains a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face meetings, direct mail, email, and networking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and Behavioral Health or Healthcare job
  • Proven ability to achieve sales or occupancy targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with demonstrated ability to work independently using good judgment and analytical thinking while being able to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and the ability to travel with overnight stays. (1 to 2 weeks per month)

Psychiatrist – Denver, Colorado

Summary:

EDCare Denver (Formerly The Eating Disorder Center of Denver) is seeking a Psychiatrist to assist in all aspects of treatment provided through our Partial Hospitalization Program, day and evening Intensive Outpatient Programs and Outpatient services.

EDCare Denver is located in the heart of the metro-area with a nationwide client base. The Attending Psychiatrist (board certified or board eligible) will work in collaboration with the Medical Director and have knowledge of psychotropic medications and current trends in psychiatry while developing new treatment options with the clinical team.  Also provides individual therapy, case management, group therapy, and treatment planning.  Ensures implementation of the treatment plan, programming, plans for effective transition, and discharge from treatment. Responsible for excellent documentation of all treatment processes.  Previous experience treating eating disorders and addictions specialty preferred, and other areas of expertise welcomed.  32 hour work week.  Excellent benefits package available.

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS 

Evening Intensive Outpatient Therapist – Kansas City

Summary:

EDCare of Kansas City is in search of a part-time EIOP Clinician who is interested in working in the eating disorder field to join our multidisciplinary team. Primary duties include facilitating evening programming, including experiential meals, psycho-educational groups, and process groups. Provide weekly individual therapy to EIOP participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Presents EDC-Kansas City program information in a comprehensive, ethical and inviting manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive clinical assessment resulting in the recommendation for appropriate level of care.
  • Maintains relationships and coordination of care with community providers and referral agents.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of paperwork in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Maintain a caseload of approximately up to 6 individual patients per week with sound clinical judgment and ability to utilize case management skills in these sessions when needed.
  • Creates an individualized treatment plan with appropriate goals and objectives (completed within 72 hours) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  • Ongoing attention to discharge plan evidenced by development of aftercare plan and patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  • Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating the ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  • Participates in weekly staffing, conveying pertinent clinical information and formulating goals for the following week.
  • Availability of afternoon hours, as well as two-three evenings per week, totaling 25-30 hours per week.

Minimum Experience:

  • Master’s degree in the behavioral health field required. Full Licensure Required.
  • Prefer experience conducting clinical assessments, and facilitating group process.
  • Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis.

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA 

Admissions Assessment Clinician – Lincoln, Nebraska

Established in 2001, EDCare (formally the Eating Disorder Center of Denver) is one of the nation’s foremost centers for the diagnosis and treatment of the full range of eating disorders. EDCare is committed to empowering individuals 18 years of age and older suffering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and related disorders to help them achieve and sustain recovery.

Our main office located in Denver will be opening a new IOP center in Lincoln Nebraska. We are seeking a part-time Admission Assessment Clinician between 24-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:          

  • Responds to inquiries within 24 hours of initial contact (in person, phone, email or web).
  • Presents EDCare Nebraska program information in a comprehensive, ethical and inviting manner.
  • Facilitates weekly admissions meeting providing up-to-date information about potential patients.
  • Maintains relationships with community providers and referral agents.
  • Interfaces with EDCare Denver admissions clinicians and financial department to ensure admission and payment.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive clinical assessment resulting in the recommendation for appropriate level of care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to build rapport resulting in converting inquiries to assessments.
  • Makes referrals to providers/resources as indicated, including Psychiatrist, Nutritionist, PCP, Family Therapist, and groups.
  • Facilitates group(s) with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits, and monitor the group process.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of initial paperwork: requests for benefits, inquiry forms, and intake activity sheet.
  • Conducts pre-certification in timely and effective fashion to ensure payment.
  • Coordinate admission by creating a schedule and informing staff.
  • Orients new patients to IOP according to guidelines.
  • Acts as a team with the finance department in facilitating admissions and troubleshooting insurance concerns.
  • Schedules patients appropriately in EMR system and collects and provides information necessary to billing staff to ensure effective workflow processes.
  • Conducts UR in a timely fashion to ensure payment (if applicable).
  • Demonstrates personable and competent communication skills via telephone, email, and in person.
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge of potential patients and current census totals.

Minimum Experience:

  • Master’s degree required.

Volunteers

Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, EDCare does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of EDCare. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
