Summary of Major Functions: 

Primarily responsible for the family focus of PHP/TIOP patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. Provides family therapy, group therapy, and treatment planning, and documents all treatment processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:          

  1. Creates an individualized treatment plan with appropriate PHP goals and objectives (completed within 72 hours) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  2. Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of family systems theory and implements it in family sessions and in conceptual formulations with team.
  4. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in working with couples.
  5. Serves as a liaison between patient families and the EDCare treatment team.
  6. Ensures that patients are seen for family therapy as clinically indicated (once weekly for PHP and as indicated for TIOP/EIOP).
  7. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  8. Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  9. Designs, coordinates, implements multi-family program resulting in increased support and awareness by families.
  10. Is creative in therapeutic interventions to include homework assignments, community resources, etc.
  11. Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: treatment plan, progress notes, etc.
  12. Demonstrates leadership in assuring continuity and quality of partial program, including curriculum development and group implementation.
  13. Participates in weekly staffing, conveying pertinent clinical information and formulating goals for the following week.
  14. Ongoing attention to discharge plan evidenced by development of aftercare plan and patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  15. Cultivates and maintains appropriate outpatient caseload (if appropriate).
  16. Provides clinical supervision to select clinical employees as assigned by the Executive Clinical Director.
  17. Provide schedules and information necessary to billing and front desk staff to ensure effective workflow processes.
  18. Other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Licensed as:
    1. LCSW, LPC, LMFT; Master’s degree or,
    2. PhD, in the behavioral health field.
  2. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis grounded in evidence-based treatment models.
  3. Experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered patients.
  4. Good oral and written communication skills.
  5. Clinical leadership skills including experience supervising staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:          

  1. Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of basic support skills appropriate to non-program care.
  2. Participates in meals with patients in a fashion consistent with current policies and procedures; eats and models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients.
  3. Thoroughly integrates new housemates into the structure of the Supportive House by demonstrating knowledge of all aspects of the Supportive House and by making patients familiar with the rules, expectations, and routines of the house.
  4. Understands that having the Supportive House in this neighborhood is a privilege and understands the responsibility that comes with that privilege by upholding a quiet, calm, neighborly presence.
  5. Maintains daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, and bed times.
  6. Monitors housemates’ activities, appropriate to adult patient population, to ensure safety and accountability.
  7. Demonstrates ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with house occupants.
  8. Relays clinical information and observations about a patient to the treatment team when appropriate.
  9. Is creative in interactions with house occupants to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

The Regional Outreach Representative is responsible for planning and coordinating various community events; identifying and implementing marketing tactics and strategies to achieve organizational objectives; developing and maintaining excellent relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Represents the organization and its programs. Informs and educates therapists, physicians and the community about the services and programs to encourage referrals.

  1. Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment and discharge recommendations (BioPsychoSocial assessment completed in patient’s chart within 2 sessions, assessing and identifying current diagnoses, etc.)
  2. Creates an individualized treatment plan with appropriate IOP goals and objectives (completed within 3 sessions) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  3. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in working with individuals and groups within the eating disorder population.
  4. Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating the ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  5. Maintains and enforces clinical program structure and policies of EDCare (e.g., attendance, autobiography, daily check-ins, group participation, etc).
  6. In collaboration with the Program Director, participates in multi-family programming resulting in increased support and awareness by families.
  7. Is creative in therapeutic interventions to include homework assignments, community resources, etc.
  8. Leads weekly staffing, conveying pertinent clinical information and formulating goals for the following week. Effectively communicates with members of the treatment team.
  9. Provides clinical referrals when clinically indicated and provides effective and consistent communication to all collaborative providers.
  10. Ongoing attention to discharge plan evidenced by development of aftercare plan, coordination with OP providers and referrals sources, and secures patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  11. Completion of thorough discharge summaries reflecting the course of treatment and ongoing clinical recommendations. Completed within 14 days of discharge.
  12. Maintains a patient load of 6-8 EIOP patients.
  13. Cultivates and maintains appropriate outpatient case load to be approved by COS Program Coordinator.
  14. Completes utilization review sheet with pertinent clinical information and conducts utilization review when EIOP Admission Clinician is absent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Licensed or license eligible as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required.
  2. Master’s degree, Psy, D or Ph.D. in behavioral health field required.
  3. Experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered patients preferred.
  4. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnoses preferred.
  5. Treatment orientation that aligns with that of EDCare preferred.

EDCare Kansas City offers Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Transitional Intensive Outpatient Program (TIOP), and Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (EIOP).  Through our unique CAMSA® treatment model, patients learn how to interrupt destructive behavioral patterns, tackle fears, take on new challenges and integrate lasting, positive changes into their lifestyle.

Summary of Major Functions:

Oversee and implement all aspects of our nutritional program for the center. Provide nutritional counseling to patients in clinical programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Complete thorough nutritional assessment within 48 hours of patient’s admission.
  2. Create an individualized nutrition treatment plan with appropriate goals and objectives.
  3. Develop meal plans demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of food service regulations and environmental risks and enforce regulatory requirements.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  6. Demonstrate ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  7. Facilitate educational and nutritional process groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  8. Timely completion and accuracy of assigned paperwork: assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, etc.
  9. Coordinate construction of daily meals with Chef, using outside services and in-house resources.
  10. Be able to assist/complete planning, preparing and serving meals as needed.
  11. Capable of fulfilling the duties of the Culinary Staff as needed.
  12. Ensure outstanding quality of dietary services and food service department.
  13. Ensure standards and accreditation requirements are met (TJC, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
  14. Other job duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain schedule that provides appropriate staffing coverage.
  2. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for the clinical services and food production services. This includes but is not necessarily limited to the Joint Commission and state and/or local health departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Registered Dietitian
  2. Licensed as a Dietitian in the state of Kansas.
  3. Experience working individually and in groups, preferably with eating disordered clients.
  4. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills.

Computer Skills:

  1. Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.
  2. Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  3. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.

Must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, independent thinking, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.

  2. Facilitates meals with patients in a fashion consistent with current policies and procedures. Models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients.
  3. Contributes clinical information and observations about patients in weekly staffing.
  4. Facilitates integration of new patients into the program via orientation demonstrating knowledge of all aspects of the clinical program.
  5. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  6. Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  7. Maintains group curriculum for psychoeducational groups according to EDCare clinical standards.
  8. Is creative in therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, and clinically sound milieu.
  9. Is present and available for patient requests and needs. Provides outreach to patients when necessary.
  10. Takes responsibility for opening and/or closing the facility.

Front Desk when front desk staff is unavailable:

  1. Answer phones.
  2. Greet all patients, visitors, and vendors in lobby.

  4. Administer psychological testing and surveys and distribute results to clinicians efficiently.

  1. Master’s degree in behavioral health field or equivalent experience in an active doctoral program.

Job Title: Program Manager

Summary of Major Functions: 

Manager of clinical, operational, and administrative processes of EDCare Omaha Adult Intensive Outpatient Programs.

Demonstrates the ability to fulfill daily operational and clinical needs, while participating in and contributing to the strategic growth of the program. Understands and performs within the expectations that management’s ultimate goal is clinical excellence, profitability, and overall success of EDCare.

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. As a member of the EDCare Management team:  timely completion and accuracy of paperwork including weekly reports to CEO, quarterly board meeting reports, payroll, competencies, annual reviews, etc.
  2. Management of staff, facilitating hiring, onboarding, training & annual evaluation for EDCare staff and interns, including disciplines & terminations.
  3. Weekly phone calls with Regional Clinical Director in order to assure operational and clinical support. 
  4. Serves as a liaison for EDCare Outreach through referral sources, marketing events, local universities, etc.
  5. Adheres to The Joint Commission expectations and requirements.
  6. Meets monthly with EDCare CFO in order to review financial status of NE program(s).  
  7. Maintains responsibility over admissions, current patient census and the overall financial success of COS programs. 
  8. Effective and consistent communication to referral sources and collaborative providers.  

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains clinical oversight of all staff in order to assure completion of responsibilities and duties, managing concerns or issues & maintaining a standard of excellence for patient care.

  2. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and practice of effective counseling skills.

  3. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport with patients, families, staff, and interns.

  4. Facilitates program orientation with all incoming patients. Orientation includes, but is not limited to, introducing the patient to the milieu environment and reviewing program expectations.  

  5. Ensures staff coverage for all clinical aspects of IOP programming.  Provides input and maintains a standard of excellence for patient care.

  6. Maintains clinical oversight of all staff in order to assure completion of responsibilities and duties. 

  7. Maintains census of up to 4 caseload in EIOP and a cap of 2 patient caseload when EIOP and BED-IOP are concurrently running.  

  8. Reviews all documentation in EMR on a weekly basis, i.e., bio/psycho/social assessments, mental status exam, treatment plans, weekly progress notes, aftercare plans, treatment summaries, etc.  

  9. Facilitates weekly, one-hour supervision meetings for all EDCare staff and interns. 

  10. Conducts weekly staffing.  

  11. Provides oversight of the discharge process in order to assure appropriate care of the patient and collaboration with OP providers.  

  12. Maintains daily program structure for NE programs developing quality measures and solutions for improvement. 

  13. In collaboration with Regional Clinical Director, maintains and develops group curriculum for Nebraska program(s).  

  14. Monitors client satisfaction surveys process through questionnaires and compiles data.  

  15. Participates in meal therapy with patients in a fashion consistent with EDCare current policies and procedures including eating and modeling appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes and snacks.  

Minimum Experience:

  1. Licensed or license eligible as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  2. Master’s degree, Psy, D or Ph.D. in behavioral health field.
  3. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnoses.
  4. Experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered patients.
  5. Clinical leadership skills including experience supervising staff.

 Computer Skills:

  1. Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate skills are required with Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.
  3. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.

Volunteers

Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, EDCare does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of EDCare. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
