DENVER, COLORADO

Primary Therapist – Denver, CO

Summary:           

Primarily responsible for the direction of care of PHP patients as part of interdisciplinary team. Provides individual therapy, case management, group therapy, treatment planning, ensures implementation of the treatment plan in all aspects of programming and plans for a smooth transition and discharge from treatment. Responsible to document all treatment processes.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment and discharge recommendations (Patient’s BioPsychoSocial completed and filed in patient’s chart within 72 hours).
  2. Creates an individualized treatment plan with appropriate PHP goals and objectives (completed within 72 hours) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  4. Ensures that patients are seen for individual therapy as clinically indicated (twice weekly for PHP and once weekly for IOP).
  5. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  6. Provides case management for each assigned case: demonstrates ability to facilitate and/or ensure the whole of patient care, integrates all aspects of care and eases the process of treatment for the patient.
  7. Facilitates groups with expertise: demonstrates ability to engage, set limits and monitors the group process.
  8. Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: treatment plan, progress notes, etc.
  9. Cultivates and maintains appropriate outpatient case load as determined by the Clinical Director.
  10. Demonstrates leadership in assuring continuity and quality of partial program, including curriculum development and group implementation.
  11. Leads weekly staffings, conveying pertinent clinical information and formulating goals for the following week and effectively communicates with members of the treatment team.
  12. Ongoing attention to discharge plan evidenced by development of aftercare plan, transition sessions with OP provider and ensures patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  13. Thorough discharge summaries reflect course of treatment and D/C recommendations; completed within fourteen days of discharge and sent to patient’s outpatient providers.
  14. Provides clinical supervision to select clinical employees as assigned by Clinical Director.
  15. Effective and consistent communication to referral sources and collaborative providers.
  16. Provides leadership to the clinical team; provides direction and support to milieu therapists and other group leaders in implementation of program services.
  17. Provides schedule template and information necessary to billing and front desk staff to ensure effective workflow processes.
  18. Other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience: 

  1. Licensed in Colorado as LP, or LPC
  2. PsyD or Ph.D. in behavioral health field with emphasis upon trauma based treatment and/or a specialty training in sports psychology for work with eating disordered athletes.
  3. Experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered clients.
  4. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills.
  6. Clinical leadership skills.
  7. Treatment orientation that aligns with that of EDC, LLC.

Milieu Therapist – Denver, CO

Summary:           

Full time Milieu Therapist: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 8:00 am – 3:30 pm on Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Primary responsibilities include milieu management and education within our Partial Hospitalization Program.  Therapist will facilitate meals with patients while modeling appropriate eating behaviors.  Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process. Maintains and develops group curriculum for psycho-education groups.  Use therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, clinically sound milieu.  Maintains daily program structure.  Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork:  progress notes, group notes etc.

Minimum Experience: 

  1. Position requires a completed Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field required.
  2. Previous experience treating eating disorders preferred but not required.

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS 

Program Director – Overland Park, KS

Summary:           

EDCare is seeking a Program Director for a full time position in our Kansas City location.  Primarily responsible for the direction of care, scheduling and programming for the PHP and IOP programs as part of the interdisciplinary team who serves as the organizational leader for the center.  The Program Director also has an understanding of the company’s ultimate goals: strong understanding of fiscal monitoring, clinical effectiveness and the overall success of EDCare – Kansas City as a business.

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Ensure quality treatment programming as evidenced by thorough, written curriculum.
  2. Schedule clinical training opportunities and maintain internal clinical training handbooks.
  3. Develop and implement quality measures to include chart reviews and implementations for improvement.
  4. Ensure quality charting that meets TJC standards (Assessments, Treatment plans, Progress notes, Discharge summaries, etc.).
  5. Ensures standards and accreditation requirements (TJC, HIPAA).
  6. Develop ongoing Quality Improvement measures and initiatives.

Registered Dietitian – Overland Park, KS

Summary:           

EDCare has a full time opening in our Overland Park, Kansas clinic for a Registered Dietitian interested in working with eating disorder patients.  The qualified candidate will have a nutritional philosophy that aligns with EDCare, a passion for and basic understanding of eating disorders, and an enjoyment of working as part of a team.

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Complete thorough nutritional assessment within 48 hours.
  2. Create an individualized nutrition treatment plan with appropriate goals and objectives.
  3. Develop meal plans demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of food service regulations and environmental risks and enforce regulatory requirements.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  6. Demonstrate ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  7. Facilitate educational and nutritional process groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  8. Maintain and develop group curriculum.

  2. Licensed as a Dietitian in the state of Kansas.

Summary:           

Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with PHP patients.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Utilizes a bio-psycho-social & empowerment model.

  3. Provide health teaching and counseling to clients and families.
  4. Accurately document client data, actions or interventions, responses and plans for care/follow up according to standards.

While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of EDCare. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
