DENVER, COLORADO

Director of Clinical Nutritional Services – Denver, Colorado

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develops appropriate Policies and Procedures and educates staff.
  2. Facilitates departmental performance improvement initiatives.
  3. Schedule dietary training opportunities and maintain internal training handbooks.
  4. Ensures all program dietary components are being met.
  5. Works with other management staff to assess the effectiveness of existing programs and develops new programs components as necessary.
  6. Ensures standards and accreditation requirements (Joint Commission, HIPPA, etc.).
  7. Develops and maintains relationships with the professional community.
  8. Conducts outpatient counseling.
  9. Develops other professional staff for providing professional outpatient counseling services.
  10. Schedules new patients within one business day of receiving referral.
  11. Develops meal plans demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients.
  12. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  13. Timely completion and accuracy of assigned paperwork: assessment(s), treatment plan, progress notes, etc.
  14. Makes referrals to other providers/resources as indicated, including Psychiatrist, Outpatient Therapist, Family Therapist, groups, etc.

Minimum Experience:

  1. Registered Dietitian with a minimum of five years experience.
  2. Prefer experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered clients.
  3. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis.
  4. Good oral and written communication skills
  5. Minimum of two years of experience supervising others. Experience managing a department strongly preferred.

Executive Chef – Denver, Colorado

Summary:

This is a culinary position which oversees all kitchen functions including food production, managing food inventory, and maintaining kitchen sanitation and regulatory standards for food service for PHP and IOP programs.  Assists the Registered Dietitian by providing nutritional care and support to patients as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Orders and maintains food inventory.
  2. Prepare meals.
  3. Implements knowledge of food service regulations, food sanitation and environmental risks; enforces regulatory requirements.
  4. Develops meal plans demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients.
  5. Maintains kitchen work areas and equipment.
  6. Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  7. Work with nutritional staff to ensure operational abilities of therapeutic menus.
  8. Utilizes good housekeeping and quality control.
  9. Perform other duties that may arise as the program grows or as needed.
  10. Timely completion and accuracy of assigned paperwork: group notes, inventory checklists, etc.
  11. Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation in the kitchen.
  12. Provides limited back-up for the Registered Dietitian, with supervision.
  13. Teach weekly cooking/nutrition classes.
  14. Teach patients culinary skills.

This is a salary position working Monday-Thursday 40 hour work week with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.  This position will be required to work some holidays.

Primary Therapist – Denver, Colorado

Summary: 

Primary responsibilities include conducting the initial bio-psycho-social intake, creating treatment plans for individual patients, leading groups, conducting individual psychotherapy, and supporting the structure of a therapeutic milieu. The successful candidate has experience working with eating disordered patients in both individual and group settings. This position requires strong clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis. Attention to detail, decision-making skills, diplomacy and objectivity are essential qualities. This position also facilitates discharge planning for transition of care to outside providers.

Minimum Experience:

  • A Masters or Doctoral Degree in mental healthcare is required
  • Colorado licensure is preferred

Milieu Therapist (Part-Time/On Call) – Kansas City, Kansas 

This position requires strong conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis. A successful candidate will have experience working with eating disordered patients in individual and/or group settings while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. Attention to details, excellent communication skills (written and oral), decision-making skills, diplomacy, and objectivity are essential qualities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Introducing and integrating new patients into programming
  • Leading groups to support a recovery-focused environment for all patients in program
  • Maintain and develop group curriculum for psycho-ed groups
  • Facilitate meals and therapeutic outings
  • Facilitate daily program structure while maintaining healthy professional boundaries
  • Conduct check-ins and check-outs with patients

Minimum Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in mental health care (required)
  • 6+ months experience in a therapeutic milieu

Volunteers

Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, EDCare does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of EDCare. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
