Jessica is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who is excited to be a part of the EDCare team. She attended CU-Denver, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007, graduating with nursing honors. Her nursing career has been primarily in pediatrics, having worked in multiple settings at Children’s Hospital Colorado, including 3 years on the inpatient medical unit that participated in the stabilization of patients with eating disorders. After transitioning to the Neuroscience Unit at Children’s, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Family Practice. Through her years of nursing, Jessica developed a passion for addressing patient care holistically, realizing the achievement of optimal health and wellness can only exist if it involves the mind, body, and spirit.
Jessica is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Colorado Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association.
Jessica and her husband reside in the Denver metro area and are active with community efforts to create positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the youth they serve by hosting multiple events throughout the year, such as “coffee with a cop” and annual Easter egg hunts. She also enjoys time spent outdoors, exploring new hiking trails in the beautiful state of Colorado with her husband and dog, making new memories with her children and grandchildren, traveling, and snorkeling.
