ROBERT PENSACK, MD

Outpatient Psychiatrist

Dr. Robert Pensack is a Board Certified Psychiatrist at EDCare with a particular interest in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Illness, Anxiety Disorders and the treatment of Psychosis. He is dedicated to understanding various psychiatric coping mechanisms and the role they play in the lives of eating disorder patients.

Dr. Pensack completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. Here he was awarded The Robert I. Slater Award, honoring the graduating medical student who exemplified the highest dedication to medicine and care of patients. He is a member of the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and a published author.

Prior to becoming a Psychiatrist, Dr. Pensack worked as an emergency room physician and in Primary Care.  Additionally, he has been intimately involved in cutting-edge academic research in both Cardiology and Transplantation.  After several years he returned to the University of Colorado School Of Medicine and completed his residency in Psychiatry. Dr. Pensack is board certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Pensack enjoys spending time in the Rocky Mountains skiing and fly fishing. He is a sports enthusiast who enjoys watching basketball, football and boxing.
