Admissions Assessment Counselor
Sarah graduated from Colorado State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. As a part of her studies she interned as a counselor at a Rehabilitation Center for troubled teens. She then went on to work as a paralegal at a law firm that specialized in family law. While at the law firm Sarah had the opportunity of continuing her work with troubled teens who struggled with eating disorders, substance abuse, and mental health concerns. Sarah was also responsible for assessing the appropriateness of homes for the adolescents whose families were involved with the law.
As an admissions counselor at EDCare, Sarah understands how difficult it can be to reach out for support for an eating disorder. With Sarah’s experience, she is able to see various perspectives that could be contributing factors to eating disorders. Sarah always works hard to provide any support that is needed and also ensures that the assessment process is as comfortable as possible. Sarah enjoys getting to help others with their first steps towards recovery.
In her time outside of work she enjoys spending time with her dog, friends, and family, reading, and cooking.
