Post-Doctoral Fellow

Tricia Steeves, Ph.D. earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado in 2019, where she specialized in research in shame and moral injury, and clinical work in mood disorders, PTSD, substance use, eating disorders, and psychological and neuropsychological assessment. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Salt Lake City VA, where she provided inpatient and outpatient clinical services treating substance abuse, trauma, and other mood and behavioral concerns.

Dr. Steeves has trained in various treatment modalities including ACT, mindfulness facilitation, CPT, and PE, and she continues to broaden her clinical skills through ongoing trainings and certifications. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and acceptance-based, and she seeks to support patients as they make meaning of their lived experiences and begin to discover their authentic selves.

Outside of work, Dr. Steeves enjoys reading fiction, going to films, hiking and camping, and spending time with her partner and their four goofy dogs.
