Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Erin Smith is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Kansas Nursing School in 2012. She went on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2017. Her nursing experience has been mostly in psychiatric nursing including experience as a charge nurse at The University of Kansas-Marillac Campus for over 6 years working with children and adolescent’s inpatient units, Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Louisville, KY on the children’s and adolescent’s inpatient units for over 2 years, and as a grade school nurse in Kansas City, KS. After obtaining her PMHNP, she was the Medical Supervisor and worked as an NP at a private practice for over 6 years in Kentucky. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
After moving back home to Kansas City, she is thrilled to be working with the adolescent population at EDCare, bringing all her knowledge with this population, to help provide medication management whenever needed.
In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 young sons, and friends, traveling, reading, gardening, biking, and cheering on her beloved Kansas City sports teams.
