Leading Evidence-Based Treatment through a Compassionate Approach
We offer patients, their families, and health care professionals over 15 years of eating disorder treatment experience. We understand the recovery journey can be difficult and scary, and know that the right support can bring success. We continuously remind our patients of their worthiness, empower them to begin to let go of the eating disorder identity, and connect with their authentic selves. We are dedicated to helping them experience the success of long-lasting recovery.
“We offer a safe environment where individuals can let down their walls and open themselves up to the tools and support they need.”
A Unique Empowerment-Based Treatment Approach
Eating disorders are complicated and challenging illnesses that require consistent and permanent lifestyle changes. Our treatment programs in Denver, Kansas City and Colorado Springs are unique in their empowerment-based approach. The backbone of our bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment approach is based on five core concepts we call CAMSA®: Connection, Acceptance, Mindfulness, Sense of Self, and Action. This individualized treatment program is proven to empower patients to regain their health.
Individualized Evidence-Based Treatment Plans
EDCare employs over 80 team members across its three locations. Matching the skills, passion and excellence of our experienced interdisciplinary team with the specific needs of each patient, we provide treatment focused on healing the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. We offer a safe environment where individuals can let down their walls and open themselves up to the tools and support they need. We help them to live a fuller life, embrace their authentic selves and realize their dreams.
EDCare’s evidence-based treatment approach is the most reliable and effective method of empowering individuals to overcome eating disorders. Our experienced multi-disciplinary treatment team helps adult patients – both women and men – increase their mindfulness, health and well-being.
Our clinical team at each of our three eating disorder centers is constantly learning, researching, developing and adapting their treatment approach. We ensure each individual gets the care to promote the most effective recovery process.
Eating disorders typically manifest due to a combination of biological, psychological and/or social issues that require a comprehensive and collaborative treatment approach. Our treatment programs include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medical evaluations, individual and family therapy sessions, group therapy, nutritional education with our registered dietitians and in-house chef, and individual experiential therapies like yoga, art, music and movement.
We treat the most complex eating disorder cases, including:
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating
- Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders
