Outpatient and Aftercare Services
DENVER | COLORADO SPRINGS | KANSAS CITY
Recovery from an eating disorder takes time. Often it is a life-long focus. This is why we offer outpatient programs for individuals who need additional support as they heal from their eating disorder and adjust to their everyday life.
Patients who have completed one of our more intensive treatments usually attend our outpatient treatment program. Whether a patient has been treated at EDCare in the past, or simply needs support to continue on a personal recovery path, help is available through our Outpatient and Aftercare services.
Our outpatient program is offered at our treatment centers in Denver and Colorado Springs. We look forward to supporting your journey, wherever you may be.
EDCare strengthens the patient’s experiences with other treatment providers with ongoing and personal connections with our primary therapists, dietitians and board-certified psychiatrists, including:
- Individual, family and couples therapy
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Group therapy (aftercare, DBT, body image and family groups)
- A free support group sponsored by ANAD (National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders)
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Nutritional counseling
There are substantial benefits in connecting with others and getting support via a shared experience. EDCare support groups offer a supportive environment where patients can process their self-treatment. Although support groups do not replace a higher level of care, shared experiences bring positive benefits. See the complete schedule of our Outpatient Support Groups below. We are here to support every patient’s recovery and keep them connected to the resources they need. To learn more, contact us here.
Eating Disorder Relapse Prevention Program
Every patient recovers from an eating disorder at their own pace. It may not take long after the initial outpatient treatment. It may also be a life-long process. What is certain is that it is never a “one-and-done” process.
We make sure our patients have someone to lean on as they advance on their personal path to recovery.
Our eating disorder relapse prevention program is designed to help individuals recover properly and ease into their daily responsibilities, like work and school, without fear of undoing their progress. We create a solid plan that makes it more manageable for our patients to make positive lifestyle changes that are greater than any form of emotional, mental, and physical relapse.
