Primary Therapist
Melanie Petersen is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Provisionally Licensed Social Worker. In 2020, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with minors in Business, Women’s and Gender Studies, and Psychology. Melanie went on to earn her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2023. Melanie has worked with EDCare since 2024.
Melanie is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment to assist clients through their recovery. She approaches each client holistically, addressing their needs through a variety of modalities and interventions. Melanie likes to incorporate laughter and connection into her sessions to help clients facilitate change in their life.
Melanie was born and raised in Nebraska. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, traveling, being outdoors, and reading. Melanie lives with her partner and their cats.
