Primary Therapist

Kristen firmly believes in the resiliency of the human spirit as the foundation for recovery. She desires to offer aid and support to traumatized and hurting people via the therapeutic relationship and believes that her primary responsibility to clients is to act as a source of guidance, compassion, and empathy for them to help facilitate healing and change in their lives.

Kristen has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Avila University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling degree; with an emphasis in marriage, couple, and family issues, from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Kristen has had the privilege of counseling adults, children, and adolescents in individual, family, and group settings who have experienced various forms of trauma and emotional distress; from domestic violence to eating related issues. She has also worked in the field of adoption; offering support to birth parents considering adoptive placement. Kristen strongly believes that all people are worthy and valuable, and are capable of finding true and lasting change. She aims to empower and support clients as they journey towards that change.
