At EDCare, all employees, contractors and partners agree to the following Code of Conduct:
- We will conduct our business and personal affairs at all times with honesty and integrity.
- We provide complete, appropriate, and relevant information in an objective manner when reporting to management, employees, government agencies, other institutions, and the public.
- We comply with the rules and regulations of federal, state, provincial, and local governments, and other appropriate private and public regulatory agencies, including but not limited to HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and the Department of Justice.
- We discharge duties and responsibilities of our employment at EDCare to the best of our ability, including complete communication on all matters within an individual team member’s jurisdiction.
- We will maintain the confidentiality of information acquired in the course of our work except when authorized and otherwise legally obligated to disclose.
- We will maintain an appropriate level of professional competence through continuing development of our knowledge and skills.
- We will refrain from committing acts that are a discredit to ourselves as individuals or to what we strive to uphold as a team at EDCare.
- We will always maintain appropriate relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
- Because of the diverse nature of EDCare’s treatment activities, we know that situations may arise where we need to discuss with one another a complex dynamic. We maintain open doors with leadership at EDCare for conversations about the best way to maintain propriety in the workplace and in our activities. We will speak openly with one another about the Dual Relationship Agreement we signed on to as EDCare team members–and will strive to uphold the highest ethical standards.
