Caroline Journeycake is a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) originally hailing from Oklahoma. With a diverse educational background, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcasting from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University. Caroline furthered her studies at Frontier Nursing School, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Advanced Practice Nurse (MSN, APN), specializing in psychiatric mental health.

Caroline’s journey in healthcare spans nearly two decades, during which she dedicated herself as a Registered Nurse (RN) before embarking on her path as a PMHNP. Her career has been marked by a steadfast commitment to aiding those grappling with eating disorders. With a wealth of experience garnered over almost a decade, Caroline began her eating disorder journey at ACUTE at Denver Health, where she honed her expertise in addressing the complex challenges of eating disorders.

Her dedication to serving diverse populations is evident in her work with adults, adolescents, and the LGBTQ+ community. At EDCare, Caroline continues her mission of providing compassionate care, adeptly managing psychiatric medications, and empowering patients to develop healthy coping mechanisms.

Caroline believes in a collaborative approach to mental health care, prioritizing the client’s input and tailoring treatment plans to suit their individual needs and preferences. Outside of her professional endeavors, Caroline cherishes spending quality time with her family, which includes two teenage boys and two beloved pups. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she finds solace in hiking, tennis, and exploring new destinations, with Portugal holding a special place in her heart as her favorite travel destination.
