Dillon de la Torre is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with a Master of Arts (MA) in Sport and Performance Psychology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology, with a minor in Ethnic Studies. He is also CPR and First Aid certified and brings over a decade of experience working in mental health and psychology fields.

Dillon has eight years of experience working with children and young adults, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This foundation has shaped his developmentally informed, compassionate approach to care.

At EDCare, Dillon works as a primary therapist for adolescents, including those in the Athlete EDGE® program. His experience supporting high-performance sport populations across baseball, basketball, track and field, soccer, esports, and a firefighting academy shapes his work with adolescent athletes. He recognizes the complex pressures tied to performance, identity, and expectations, and helps clients build a healthier relationship between their mental health and athletic pursuits in a way that promotes long-term well-being.

Dillon’s clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. His specialties include sport and performance psychology and addiction-related concerns.

He values curiosity, compassion, empathy, and passion in his work, and is committed to culturally responsive care. Dillon approaches each individual with openness and a dedication to ongoing learning and growth

Outside of his professional role, Dillon is an avid Denver sports fan and enjoys music, attending concerts, exploring history and cultures, and watching films.
