LAUREN WAAG, LCSW
Primary Therapist
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. Originally from Connecticut, she has lived in the Denver area for seven years.
She believes in the benefit of change and has always been drawn to helping others make meaningful shifts in their lives. When she changed her major from physics to social work, she was not yet sure what that would look like, but she has since learned that being a therapist allows her to connect with others and witness incredible strength, change, and resilience every day.
Lauren’s goal as a therapist is to promote growth and healing through the therapeutic process and therapeutic relationship. She believes the best work in therapy happens when clients feel safe enough in the relationship to be vulnerable and show parts of themselves they may not reveal to others.
She holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health. Before graduate school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Providence College.
Lauren’s passions in the field include the treatment of eating disorders and supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults. Outside of the office, she enjoys crafting, joyful movement such as hiking or skiing, and spending time with animals and friends.
