Linnea is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both the state of Colorado and Minnesota. She holds her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lee University. For her entire therapeutic career, Linnea has specialized in and worked with the treatment of eating disorders. Throughout her time working in different levels of care, she has gained experience working with athletes of varying backgrounds from recreational to Olympic hopefuls. She aims to cultivate a safe and welcoming place where you are free to process and navigate your experiences while also identifying how you can live a value-driven life.
At EDCare, Linnea works with individuals across levels of care in both the CORE and Athlete EDGE® programs, helping patients to challenge and overcome their eating disorders. This is done by utilizing different therapeutic modalities depending on the unique needs of each individual. Therapeutic modalities could include interpersonal open process, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Based Treatment (FBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and person-centered and solution-focused modalities. Her areas of expertise and supported populations include adolescents, adults, families, eating disorders, and common co-occurring conditions. She takes a collaborative approach with the patient, including them in treatment decisions and empowering them to take ownership of their recovery. Linnea wholeheartedly believes that recovery is possible and looks forward to working with you on your healing journey.
When she’s not at work, Linnea enjoys spending time with those she loves, walking her dog Kimchi, engaging in joyful movement, and dabbling in hobbies such as reading and cooking.
