MARIA ENGLAND, MSW

She/Her/Hers

Adult Case Manager

As a Michigan native, Maria graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a bachelor’s in psychology. Upon graduating, she moved to Denver to pursue her master’s in social work from the University of Denver.

Maria has a deep commitment to supporting patients on their paths to recovery. Her role involves collaborative efforts to address various aspects of patient well-being, including securing housing, accessing outpatient services, and identifying any resources they may need. During her time at EDCare, Maria has also worked as a supportive house counselor and as a milieu therapist.

Maria’s previous work experience reflects her passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has played an integral role in organizing and facilitating diverse training programs and ensuring that individuals of all backgrounds have equitable access to essential resources. It was through this work that her dedication to helping others flourished. Maria believes it is important to meet folx where they are and to work with them to meet their treatment goals. Her journey in this field has been driven by the incredible creativity and resilience she witnesses as patients progress through their recovery. It is this transformation, sparked by the boundless imagination and strength of the human spirit, that fuels Maria’s passion for working with this population.

Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors and talking with my support people.
