MARK ALLEN, MD
Psychiatric Medical Director
Dr. Allen is a highly experienced child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who has been in practice since 2014. He completed his medical education and general psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by a child psychiatry fellowship at New York-Presbyterian-Columbia & Cornell. Additionally, he spent a post-fellowship year with the Canterbury District Health Board in Christchurch, New Zealand.
He serves as the Chairman of the American Board of Sports & Performance Psychiatry (ABSPP), and he is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), and the International Society for Sports Psychiatry (ISSP).
Dr. Allen brings extensive sport-specific training to our team, including earning the International Olympic Committee’s Diploma in Mental Health in Elite Sport, the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, and the ISSP’s official sports psychiatry certification program. His impressive experience includes working with athletes of all levels, from high school to the Olympics and pros.
