Grace Filiss received her Communication degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and conflict management. She has a strong passion for building authentic relationships to help support and empower all people to get the care they deserve.
At EDCare, Grace creates strategic plans for outreach and education, manages and trains outreach members, and builds the bridge between the community and EDCare; which she is most passionate about.
She has gained much of her clinical knowledge of eating disorders, including different therapeutic approaches (ACT, DBT, CBT, psychodrama, etc), symptoms, causation, co-morbidity and levels of care when serving as the Director of Operations at La Luna Center.
Grace is an advocate for social justice. She served on the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center Board of Directors for two years and in that time, co-chaired the Inclusiveness Committee. At EDCare, she continues to advocate for inclusivity in eating disorder treatment and has spearheaded the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She also has served on the iaedp Denver Metro Chapter Board since 2015.
Grace is a native to Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, cooking and being a birth doula.
