ANNA HELING, MSW, LCSW
Anna’s work centers on bringing patients and their families together to acknowledge unspoken emotions; open safe and non-judgmental avenues for exploration; and offer support in developing more effective ways to communicate with one another. She operates out of a compassionate, systems-oriented lens in which areas of strength within the family are celebrated and used to support development of the entire unit. She normalizes each family’s need for some “tune-ups” and incorporates appropriate humor to create a sense of comfort.
Anna has experience working with patients and families in multiple settings within eating disorder treatment, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. At EDCare, she currently facilitates the ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) Group for patients and the Evening Intensive Outpatient MultiFamily group.
Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Loyola University – Chicago and a Master’s of Social Work degree from The University of Wisconsin – Madison. New to Colorado by way of Oregon and the Midwest, Anna enjoys the many opportunities to spend time in the abundant sunshine. Her hobbies include writing, traveling, and finding reasons in life to laugh.
